Gap Between Gutter And Fascia Board

The first rainstorm of the year came yesterday and i noticed a huge amount of water draining behind my gutters in this corner area around the flashing in the first pic.

Upon closer inspection it was obvious that there was a large gap that had developed. I don t have gap all around just in some areas. Surely this is not how it should be. Start at the end of a fascia board and caulk the corner edge where two boards meet.

For gutters to work properly they must be properly sloped toward the downspouts and the roof must have a drip edge that clears the sides of the gutters closest to the house. Rip the tops of the fascia boards to match the slope of your roof. Measure the distance from this nail to the bottom of the fascia board.
